Competency interviews

Version 1.0 | 20-06-2018

This information applies to all students enrolled in (or applying for) our tertiary / VET courses

You may be required to participate in a competency interview as part of the assessment process.

The competency interview is conducted one-on-one with yourself and an assessor. This may occur onsite, via phone or via web conferencing. Interviews are typically between 30 to 90 minutes duration.

The interview is a conversation guided by the assessor to explore your current competency and to discuss your evidence. It will involve questioning on your relevant experience, knowledge and skills to enable the assessor to confirm your competence in relation to the unit/s of competence in your RPL application.
