This information applies to overseas students on a Student Visa.
Students will need to demonstrate that they have achieved a minimum score of 6.0 in an International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or equivalent. This requirement is necessary for students to be able to apply for a student visa.

There are a range of exemptions available. If you qualify for one of the exemptions you do not need to provide evidence of an English test score.
