National recognition and credit transfer for units of competency

Version 1.1 | 20-06-2018

This information applies to all students enrolled in (or applying for) our tertiary / VET courses

National Recognition of units of competency

We recognise the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by any Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO).  This means, an applicant who has already attained units of competency that also form part of the qualification in their RPL application, will be given automatic credit for those units. No further evidence or assessment is required for these units. There is no RPL assessment fee for this recognition.

Credit Transfer for units of competency

Credit transfer is the automatic granting of a competent result in a unit of competency  from an accredited course based on a student’s satisfactory result in another different unit of competency. This is based on a pre-determined assessment of the initial unit of competency or course rather than the candidates individual performance. We will grant credit transfer when the equivalence between the two units of competency are clearly stated in a course curriculum or Training Package. There is no RPL assessment fee for credit transfers.

There are further conditions applied to this for overseas students.
