Orientation services for overseas students

This information applies to overseas students on a Student Visa.

Arrival assistance

We provide a free airport pick-up service for new students arriving in Hobart. We meet you at the terminal and transport you to your accommodation. Please advise us at least two days in advance if you require this service.

We provide each overseas student with initial support to:

  • use their mobile phone and internet
  • use public transport from their accommodation
  • shop for food and personal items near their accommodation.

Orientation program

We provide a comprehensive orientation to our facilities and services in the first week of study.

Departure assistance

We provide pre-departure advice to students who have gained a qualification and are returning to their country of origin to seek employment in the aviation industry. This includes general career advice and further learning pathways advice.

We assist students to make arrangements for their departure.

We provide a free airport drop-off service for departing students. Please advise us at least two days in advance if you require this service.
