High performance aircraft typically have an undercarriage system that retracts into the aircraft fuselage to reduce drag when not in the landing configuration. Less drag on the aircraft in flight allows for higher speeds and reduced fuel consumption. This course teaches you the concepts and practical application of operating an aircraft with this feature.
The operation of this system requires a special design feature endorsement known as the retractable undercarriage endorsement.
