Unique Student Identifier (USI)

The Unique Student Identifier (USI) is an Australian reference number that is uniquely yours and stays with you for life. It provides you access to a USI online account with records of training from all providers in Australia. The USI makes it easier to find, collate and authenticate your educational attainments, and to ensure that your records are intact.

It is essential that students enrolling in Tertiary Courses provide their USI, as required by Australian Government regulations. It is not possible to fully enrol or be issued with attained qualifications without your USI.

If you are a domestic student, you must provide your USI when you apply for a Tertiary Course with us.

If you are an overseas student and you intend to enter Australia on a Student Visa, you do not need to provide a USI when you apply for a course. However, you must apply for and provide us with your USI after your have obtained your Student Visa, and before you commence a course with us.

If you do not already have a USI you can easily apply for one at  https://www.usi.gov.au/students
